Let the AFL's party begin wow po Iz

Let the AFL's party beginOne would think Buddy will get better each week which will send a shiver down everyone's spine. I still can't get my head around their defence. I know they have performed well but they have been exposed at stages. There is nothing like a September atmosphere to test the mettle of your mind. They would have to be the most respected team over the last decade which is the ultimate honour. They have only used 31 players (best in competition average of 38) and once again had most of their best players playing most of the time which they do with monotonous regularity. Not withstanding that undeniable asset they have performed admirably and probably have confirmed everyone's assessment that they had largely under-performed against the quality of their list in Neil Craig's last year. Once again it could be a straight sets exit for the Crows which will be a very bitter pill for them to swallow. They are held together with probably the most dynamic ruck combination the game has ever seen. Naitanui is a freak talent. Able to jump small buildings in a single bound wow po, possessing the Hulk's strength with Cat like reflexes and the speed of a gazelle. Lord help us if he ever puts a full game together. Their midfield is competent with Kerr adding the gut-busting pizzaz whilst Priddis is the worker bee. Their forward line is somewhere between serviceable and sensational depending on how Kennedy responds, which Darling attends and whether Lynch can overcome his mental demons on any given day wow gold. The glue appears to come from their smaller running brigade like Shuey, Gaff, Hurn and Selwood (both). Surely their big men will finally understand the importance of their contributions and deliver. If so, they have all three areas of defence, midfield and forwards covered exceptionally well. I know there is hype about isolating their defence but it is one thing to talk about it and another to implement in a big final. Adding Krakouer to the mix will not do them any harm either. I do not mind a team entering finals coming off an ordinary few weeks. Will leg speed lead to their demise in finals or will they have one last almighty thrust at immortality? Whilst Hawkins is delivering at high levels they are a chance. They have under-performed under their previous coach - similar to the Crows - and they are now showing what they are capable of with a strong assertive leader with high demands and discipline. They are young, energetic, skilful, quick and disciplined. That's when they got beaten by Adelaide and Sydney. Nic Nat looks like it's the first time he's ever done that, and it took until last week for him to start to recover. Priddis and Kerr were the same. Even the old Coxy looked a bit weary until last week. Worsfold has always said that the priorities were 'get to the finals first' and then give it 100%. That's what I see as West Coast's plan. As a coach Thommo, have you ever put a team through a July 'pre season'? Does it work in getting the players battle hardened and fit for the finals?Thommo John Worsfold said at the end of the 2010 season they would aim this team at the 2012 GF. I think the Eagles are ready to do just that and any team who thinks they don't have the talent to pull it off will be sadly mistaken. The Eagles are now at almost full strength as per the early part of the season and many people I believe have forgotten just how good they were in the early stages of the season.Thommo, whist i respect your point of view on Collingwood you must be smoking something.Seriously, Dawes is quite simply an ordinary player at AFL level and his mate Cloke is more concerned about next year and the money he will earn, then theres our ageing ruckman albeit a good one with zero back up.To all the Collingwood supporters i sincerely hope i am wrong however my gut tells me we are big trouble in need of a clean out.Yes Gillan McLachlan helped Adelaide's cause but I suspected it was the gurus at AFL house thought that that based on last year that the new clubs could snag a win or two with another Melbourne thrashing like last year thrown in.If your are right then its the pies v the hawks with Adelaide v Sydney which is bad for the swans as the crows have had the wood on them for quite a while for reasons that defy description and the pies will be too battle scared after the hawks extract some payback this round and 5 to 8 has no real easy beats for the pies if they are going to make it for a rematch with them in the grand final. Still the hawks.Thommo, its ok to stick with your tip. But seriously, their big forwards probably should have been sent back to the two's about 6 weeks ago. A stronger coach would have helped these players find form. Buckley has just shut his eyes and hoped. This type of weakness will be exploited in September. Collingwood seriously could go out in straight sets. Hawthorn and Sydney are a class above. Nth Melbourne, Geelong and WCE the next best on form. I think we saw our GF preview on Saturday evening and all wre need talk about is whether the swans can turn the tables. For mine its the Hawks by 7 points. again. PS, reckon calling their midfield of Mitchell, Lewis, Sewell, Hodge, etc as just "ultra competitive" is a giant understatement. I wouldnt want to be wrestling them for a jellybean. I'd call them Elite and Ferocious.Thank you for sharing your opinions with other users of NineMSN.
